Role Summary: **We will start the recruitment process for this role in Q1 2017**
The successful applicant will work as part of the GE Inspection Technologies organisation. The incumbent will be self-motivated & reactive, working to meet short deadlines. This is a permanent position based at GE Sensing EMEA, Shannon, Ireland.
Essential Responsibilities: Functions include, but are not limited to all/some of the following: General assembler duties may include working with either transducer, instrument lines or cable assembly.Essential Functions
Working under a microscope
Soldering materials as required
Specific duties will vary as assigned by the supervisor to address manufacturing needs
Educated to Third Level Engineering Qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience
Proven years’ experience in manufacturing environment
Must be very detail oriented with an emphasis on accuracy
Fine pitch soldering skills
Neatness, concentration, and attention to detail
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task, strong team player
Excellent PC Skills including MS Word and Excel
Ability to follow assembly instructions (verbal and written)
Excellent communication skills
Flexibility and understanding of multiple assembly jobs would be an advantage
Experience in light mechanical assembly and chemical mixing in manufacturing
Ability to perform tasks with general direction and drive to completion
Strong organisational, analytic, and problem solving skills
Above average computer skills with Microsoft Office products
