Role Summary: The Executive Engineering Leader for GE Measurement & Sensing will be responsible for providing technical ownership and new product development for multiple product lines across a $500M global business. This role will provide leadership to a team of 280 Engineers globally working on high-technology product development, software & services and sustaining of existing products in addition to providing leadership to custom project execution teams.
Essential Responsibilities: In addition you will:
Set the overall technical strategy and multi-generation-product-planning working in conjunction with business leadership and product management teams
Key member of the business leadership team driving sales and margin growth
Deliver new product platforms and product upgrades within time, budget, and quality metrics
Deliver on the Software platforms for Measurement & Sensing on Predix
Drive the Sensors growth on GE rotating equipment
Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to the global engineering team of over 280 Engineers at 8 global sites
Provide mentorship, and guidance on the design and application of Measurement & Sensing Technology
Provide technical leadership and sponsorship at key customer accounts
Act as a key interface with the GE Global Research Center and cross-functional leaders to drive advanced technology development
Lead the following product line engineering teams: Flow Gas & Moisture (FGM), Pressure and Reuter Stokes; also provide leadership to customer project engineering teams
Drive operational excellence with clear focus on Safety, Quality, Timeliness and Cost
Embrace the GE Beliefs and demonstrate and drive a culture of integrity, openness, and transparency in all business interactions
Drive innovation processes and intellectual property development
Develop, mentor, and coach team members and drive employee engagement
Identify and deliver on material cost out and lean process improvements
Be an active participant in global and local Product Structuring initiatives
Own and manage operational budget and lead S2 and Session-T processes for the organization
Be responsible for anticipating and preparing the team to take on next-level business challenges
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related disciplines from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience
Extensive years of experience in progressively higher technical and managerial responsibilities covering program /people / product management
