Role Summary:
The Lead sourcing specialist is required to have good leadership qualities and grasp on complete sourcing function, processes and its associated tasks with full responsibility and ownership on assigned work having moderate complexity. In this role Lead sourcing specialist, will be required to have good team leading and working spirit by working at different locations [Head office and sites] with flexibility to relocate and travel.

Essential Responsibilities:
Key roles and responsibilities of this position include but not limited to following,
a) Familiar with sourcing function and its required capabilities as criteria of hiring a team of buyers. Good analytical skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of team members. Good interpersonal skills, influencing skills that are required to lead a team of 10 buyers approx.
b) Good command on writing procedures and work instructions for the team that can best translate given policies for specific business segment.
c) Fully conversant with international trade regulations, incoterms, local law. This role also requires to have good knowledge of industrial resources in the country and rest of the world.
d) Implementation of policies and procedures that are advised by the management, business and leadership on time to time basis and ensure compliance in true spirit and understanding.
e) Having good experience of processing Purchase requisitions, negotiations, placement of POs and contracting so that can review all such cases for approval, return for rework or reject depending upon case to case basis.
f) Managing work with full transparency, no compromise on Integrity, Environment, health and safety principles.
g) Ability to conduct meetings, conference call, events, recognizes and hold accountable as and when come across such situations. Ability to manage periodic Reporting with consistency and as required.
h) Driving strategies proactively to meet sourcing objectives.
i) Assess Team and supplier’s capabilities and their management on performance related Matrix.
j) Understanding business needs, policy and procedures.
k) Implement sourcing standards including process of execution, synergies for cost out.
l) Working objectively by setting out goals to achieve, long and short term priorities.
m) Drive productivity opportunities with supply base to deliver cost out goals, provide assistance on cost control and savings.
n) Support commodity buyers, function fellows and other colleagues and leadership.
o) Drive effective savings negotiations, recovery plans.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with at least 5 years of experience in a buyer role and 5 years in leading role.

Desired Characteristics:
• Hands on experience for working on ERP software [Preferably Oracle based as Maximo]
• Proficiency in analytical skills using ERP data through various tools of MS. Office.
• Strong communication skills in English and French languages. Proficiency in Arabic language will be considered as value added qualification.
• Technical knowledge on Mechanical, Electrical and Automation will be one of preference criteria.
• Excellent Team spirit and interpersonal skills.
