Role Summary: The Finance Project Manager will support the efficiency and effectiveness of finance system requirements across the GE Transportation Finance community to drive improvements; will be leading major Oracle implementations across different Transportation sites; will be embedded with the global set-up & support teams for new deals and acquisitions; will create and drive simplification projects globally.
Essential Responsibilities: In addition, you will:
Be the functional expert in Oracle Project modules and its integration with Supply Chain
Functional expert of Day to Day support for questions/issues related to Oracle Project modules for the finance community
Work directly with the finance community to enhance financial reporting & finance processes
Develop, lead, and test application enhancements or simplification to be implemented for Oracle Projects leveraging current GE Transportation tools to drive daily efficiency
Lead Oracle finance implementations from the finance perspective for assigned projects
Ensure implementation success by leading all aspects of designated projects from a functional perspective
Complete all required ERP implementation process & tollgate steps including requirements gathering, process flow documentation, fit / gap analysis, testing, data validation, training, preparation of manuals and other project related activities
Lead support, advise and resolve problems for finance functional users after implementation
Develop, improve and implement standard processes and practices within Transportation Finance
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university/college with a concentration in Finance or Business
Minimum of 2 years of experience with Oracle Projects release 12 implementations
Ability to be flexible and work collaboratively, analytically in a problem-solving environment.
Strong project management skills including project initiation, scoping, resourcing, scheduling, risk management and communication.
Able to coordinate efforts in line with the 'bigger picture' to maximize the overall value of project and process initiatives.
