Role Summary: AIS Air Insulated Switchgear Field Senior Specialist will be responsible, in collaboration with the client and engineering groups to ensure the commissioning of AIS Air Insulated Switchgear products and provide support equipment. They will train and support colleagues in performing tasks. Must be available to support customers and colleagues 24 hours, 7 days / week in emergencies. Fulfills customer orders or needs according to financial/commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities: As the AIS Air Insulated Switchgear Field Senior Specialist, you will:
Be responsible for resource planning, equipment and time for commissioning, repair or construction expertise
Train other field specialists
Manage Workers customer and / or switch on the site
Perform commissioning tests
Prepare progress reports, test results, non-compliance report
Annotate and editing drawings 'as built'
Participate in the drafting of technical procedures
Submit to external customers and internal technical documentation necessary for operation and maintenance of equipment. Provide information supplements as needed
Provide technical assistance in the preparation of submission
Analyze, investigate and propose solutions to problems concerning legacy discontinued products. Test and industrialize the solution
Participate in the development of inspection criteria in collaboration with customers and engineering team
Engage in activities related to the supervision, organization and execution of a service project, including scope, time, contract (if not covered by a dedicated Contract Manager) cost & quality management
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college (or a High School Diploma / GED with a Minimum of 10 years of Field experience in Services in substation commissioning)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management
Ability and Willingness to travel up to 75%
Advanced knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment power
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to influence others and lead small teams
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
Effective problem identification and solution skills
Proven analytical and organizational ability
Bilingual English / French is desirable
Knowledge of design software (AutoCAD), knowledge of office software (MS Office Suite)
Have good ability to interact and communicate with clients and workers
