Role Summary: The Sales Director, Power Transformer- Asia Pacific demonstrates accountability for assessing project complexity and defining project strategies by collaborating with Account Managers and/or Solutions Groups. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning.
Essential Responsibilities: As a Sales Director, Power Transformer (PTR) - Asia Pacific you will be responsible for (but not limited to): •Building influential relationships with assigned customers at all levels and develop strategies to win profitable business from those customers •Integrating information, resources, and activities within the region and/or among global regions • Customer satisfaction, evaluation, plans, and follow through •Demonstrating commercial and technical expertise in specific market •Owning regional PTR Operating Plan •Driving strategy and growth initiatives within the region •Directing the sales team to identify and develop opportunities driving growth •Preparation of spec in & qualification •Confirmation of product acceptance or prequalification •Validating and adjusting GE answer strategy taking in account the input from the Account Managers and the market information •Understanding the Request for Quote (RFQ)/Customer’s demand •Trigger tendering process (Go/No Go) and ensure tender progresses well to achieve the desired outcomes. •Negotiating the contract with the client, in coordination with the Account Manager •Preparing the win/loss analysis with the Account Manager •Supervising and leading the PTR product sales team to ensure targets, performance standards, policies and procedures are met •Developing and assessing competencies of team members to ensure required skill level •Identifying talent, coach and mentor team members to ensure development
Qualifications/Requirements: To be successful in this role, you would possess and/or demonstrate the following capabilities •Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 8 years of relevant experience in industry-related sales, application engineering and/or marketing •Prior commercial sales experience in closing large and complex contractual agreements is preferred •Strong project management skills •Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs •Strong influencing skills •Knowledge of customer financial drivers / needs •Able to effectively lead and energize a multi-functional team to meet sales plan •Strong oral and written communication skills
