Role Summary:
Quality Management System Leader will develop an effective system of integrated processes required to enable growth of the Industrial Power Solution business within GE Oil & Gas. This Role includes auditing and monitoring of process performance and driving associated Continuous Improvement. This position can be based in Rugby, UK or Elblag, Poland.

Essential Responsibilities:
Ensure that all aspects of ISO9001 and GE Oil & Gas are met or exceeded by the Quality Management System of Industrial Power Solutions, including but not limited to:

  • Internal audit program is established and executed
  • Deviations and findings are recorded, corrective and preventative actions defined and implemented in due time
  • The processes and their controls are adequately documented and effectively deployed to all staff globally
  • Ensure that regular management reviews covering the effectiveness of the Quality Management System take place and that the decisions and actions are formally documented
  • Assure audit of areas of responsibility for conformance to quality plans, systems, and requirements
  • Support the IPS Leadership Team in the effective deployment of the Quality Management System across all the locations
  • Continuously develop the Quality Management system with the focus of building in Quality Assurance rather than relying on Quality Control approach.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement and Cost of Quality (CoQ) initiatives to bring the business long-term added value.
  • Establish the climate that encourages an open two-way channel of communication whereby employees exchange ideas/suggestions and share information

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Significant experience in Quality System Planning and Quality Improvement methods.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Background in engineering, electronics or similar discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in the areas of Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or Quality
  • Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Familiarity with a range of Quality tools such as DMAIC, RCA, 8D etc.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Internal Lead Auditor.
  • Knowledge of standards such as ISO9001:2008/2015
  • Executive level presentation skills
  • Strong oral and written communications, interpersonal and leadership skills
