Role Summary:
The Account Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will drive sales growth for the GE Digital Solutions product line Ultrasound Portables (UT portables). You will be accountable for the sales in your region and you will be responsible for short and long-term planning and will work in collaboration with other functions in the business. This role is home based, dedicated to the North part of UK and Scotland.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Additional to dealing with UK direct customers and Channel Partner you will follow up on projects and leads connected to key accounts.
  • Sales Manager with both strong technical knowledge in ultrasound/eddy current and commercial attitude
  • Able to work with different range of customers: inspectors , managers, buyers in different industries
  • Providing leadership for sales to assigned customers following GE’s strategy in bringing high end UT instruments and systems into the local market
  • Commercial way of thinking – precise in forecasting
  • Supporting the assigned customer in sales activities and provide assistance to the customer in identifying new technical opportunities
  • Demoing the UT portable product range to customers
  • Negotiating contracts as required
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base

  • Commercial experience in developing customer relationships & handling customer issues
  • Ability to maximize the utilization of Inspection Technologies Products taking into consideration customer need
  • Technical experience in NDT ( ideally a level 1 or 2 in UT or EC )
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong communication & organizational skills. Must be able to direct and influence other functions within GE
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proven track record in a similar commercial role with the ability to demonstrate customer growth.
