Role Summary: The Workforce Management Payroll Engineer will serve as an expert responsible for the design, build and implementation of payroll file delivery for the Workforce Management COE. The role would require the candidate to leverage his / her hands-on experiences to design solutions that integrate Kronos with PeopleSoft and other regional payroll providers, ensuring the best design for reuse and eliminating of issues.
Essential Responsibilities: Implement technical standards, resolve complex system issues, and manage vendor resources to ensure right technical approach.
Effectively engage global teams and experts to create and propose technology designs, standards, and solutions with high impact to business and/or its customers
Champion large-scale process and technology improvement efforts, to provide mutually acceptable, cost effective IT solutions
Support, advise, assist, guide and resolve IT issues for client leaders and end-users
Interpret, modify or produce documented IT application frameworks or architectures • Execute a technology roadmap to leverage our current cloud and onsite applications and prepare for the future in a Saas environment.
Research development in assigned technology, validate business requirements, proposes changes, develop migration and implementation plans, and execute associated projects
Perform project level design, debug and performance analysis
Lead detailed design and code reviews
Develop and maintain relationships with key strategic vendors and peers
Evaluate and recommend emerging or enhanced technologies that could improve current IT systems, support operations and end user experience, through Proof of Concepts
Provide input into the technology plan for the IT organization, and ensure that plans for their assigned applications integrate effectively with other aspects of the technical infrastructure
Teach and mentor others to develop their technical expertise
Lead programs and projects in support of the strategic initiatives related with incident reduction, simplification, process excellence, security and compliance
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Information Science or related fields
Minimum of 4 years of recent hands-on technical experience as a Developer or Architect on large applications
Minimum of 4 years of recent, hands-on technical experience working with Middleware Integration or similar tools (ex: BPM, BPEL)
Minimum of 4 years of recent, hands-on technical experience (tuning, etc) in Oracle 10g/11g DBMS or SQL Server or similar tools
Minimum of 4 years of recent, hands-on technical experience in coding software using the following technologies: PL / SQL, Oracle Forms, Reports, XML Publisher, OAF, J2EE or ADF, and JDeveloper 10g+ or similar tools
Experience with Service Oriented Architecture leveraging web services
Strong analytical skills – strong problem solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve
Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources

Experience in the integration with and/or management of externally-hosted 3rd Party Software as a Service applications
