Role Summary: The role will develop practical and innovative ways to meet goals by fostering growth, innovation and customer centricity in the service organization for work that is less defined in scope, has the experience to drive the business strategy, tactically offer technical and commercial support to customers, channel partners and the GE commercial team. This role can affect both short-term and long-term business goals, identification and development of the product offerings for the business goals.
Own the global services strategy supporting the annual pressure business strategic growth plan (Growth Playbook) in conjunction with region P&L leaders, product pillar leaders, fulfillment organizations, marketing & engineering; aligning service capabilities with market conditions to achieve product line growth & profitability objectives.
Based in Leicester, UK with travel up to 20% of the time and international travel required
Own customer targeting and offering positioning strategies by analyzing market data trends including: customer segments, market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and customer preferences.
Partner with marketing & sales team to develop internal/external messaging around commercialization of new product introduction & top issue fixes within the pressure business installed base
Own services pricing and contribution margin
Own key service metrics such as “turnaround time” (TAT) and department productivity
Work with engineering and technical publication departments. to produce and maintain service support material (e.g. service manuals, spare parts, service training)
Responsible for the technical & commercial interface between customers and service organization
Drive innovative solutions by assessing opportunities for strategic partnerships with customers or channel partners for inorganic growth.
Generate ideas for and assist in the execution of simplification and cost out initiatives
Masters or Bachelor degree in Engineering or science based discipline plus technical experience in instrumentation service or equivalent knowledge and experience
An understanding and willingness to learn typical customer applications for the Druck range of test tools, portable calibrators, pressure controllers, pitot static testers and calibration software.
Able to handle queries regarding all aspects of technical support
Work to deadlines and respond effectively to demanding customer requests
An understanding of calibration and uncertainty budget calculation
Fluent English with good communication skills and able to present to a group
An understanding of product technical regulations and standards (TRS)
Ability to produce a technical proposal
Experienced in a Services role or similar
