Role Summary: The Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift will be responsible for general maintenance activities. The activities include electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing work. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and repair of CNC and electronic controls, as well as knowledge of PLC programming. Basic carpentry and welding is required as well.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Maintenance Technician, you will:
Perform shop math
Use standard measuring instruments
Interpret electrical schematics and machine drawings
Interpret shop blueprints
Maintain numerical and written records
Interpret written specs
Interface with all levels of employees, and make and keep commitments regarding assigned unit
Weld and fabricate
Provide direction to lower-rated and other maintenance technicians
Troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment & CNC controls
Perform weekend coverage on rotating basis as required
Associate’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical discipline from an accredited university or college
Ability and willingness to work 3rd shift
Successful completion of Electricity 1 and 2 coursework or equivalent
Boiler Operator Certified or willing to obtain boiler license within 6 months of accepting position
Good safety, attendance and performance record
Ability to communicate effectively
Possess mechanical aptitude
Possess analytical troubleshooting ability
Ability to perform work with minimum supervision
Ability to work well with others
Knowledge of electrical safety
Knowledge of plumbing, hydraulics, and welding
Knowledge of electrical controls
Possess strong leadership and administrative skills
Possess production planning skills
Knowledge of material control concepts
Knowledge of PLC programming, troubleshooting and repair
Possess high degree of safety knowledge in the area
Master Electrician's License
