Role Summary:
As the Lead Product Manager in the Asset Performance Management group, you will be responsible for helping GE to deliver the Power industry’s premiere experience and capabilities for conditions-based and analytics driven maintenance strategies. You will serve the Power Industry’s most demanding customers, deliver a steady stream of market defining content and capabilities, explore new business models and help to set the market standard globally for APM software and service solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for distilling unmet target business and user needs, driving product development, go to market strategy and execution. You will lead our efforts by building a deep understanding for customer needs through market research and tight collaboration with key customers, converting customer unmet needs and your strategy into executable product development backlogs, and ultimately quality, cost and delivery of your solution portfolio, a set of capabilities which are essential to our success. As part of the Power Digital Solutions - APM Product Management team, you will be:
  • Accountable for achieving goals related to development and deployment of product capabilities related to Maintenance Optimization and Analytics as key components of the APM product application.
  • Market and Competitive Intelligence focus and clarity to ensure roadmap is consistently.
  • Collaborate with GE Digital APM platform team as well as business unit engineering and product teams as partners.
  • Develop, Manage, Publish and Refine metrics and hard data across the product lifecycle, driving data-driven decisions to support roadmap.
  • Support maintenance optimization driven R&D and analytics research.
  • Support sales excellence in the Field through collaboration in the creation and rollout of high-value solution collateral and Sales training materials.
  • Assist in the delivery of field enablement and customer facing content to drive sales and service maturation and effectiveness.
  • Build a strong working partnership with GE Power’s Remote Monitoring and Diagnostic Centers, key consumers of APM Maintenance Optimization and Analytics capabilities.
  • Closely collaborate with other product teams, Marketing, Legal and Finance to translate financial and regulatory needs into actionable items on the roadmap.
  • Ensure that the voice of the customer is clearly articulated and communicated across all teams and is the primary driver of roadmap and technology decisions.
  • Establish tradeoffs between competing interests and requirements to produce an achievable roadmap and Agile release cycles.
  • Evangelize your product by presenting to customers (internal and external) and user groups; represent your product at trade shows and with the media; sell your product roadmap internally; participate in winning deals; provide training and awareness and generate enthusiasm for your product.
  • Directly support commercial teams selling solutions that are underpinned by APM software and service solutions.


Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics, or engineering. Masters or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in maintenance operations, strategic consulting, product marketing, product management or a related field requiring analytical skills and a strategic mindset.
Eligibility Requirements

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for

  • Employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
  • Must be willing to travel.



Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience in RCM, EAM, industrial maintenance practices
  • Strong domain knowledge in data management, data analysis and advanced analytics across heterogeneous data sets
  • In-depth knowledge of the technology and vendor landscape for Big Data Management & Analytics
  • Proven success in dynamic matrix-organization environments
  • Experience in Agile Product Management teams
  • Experience in commercializing advanced analytics solutions
  • Experience with SaaS is a plus
  • Experience designing, deploying or operating applications / infrastructure in a public or private cloud environment
  • Proven record of strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve
