Role Summary: As GE Japan becomes a Digital Industrial Company, we are driving big culture change. As a member of Japan HR Leadership team, the O&TD Manager will be responsible for driving HR core processes and initiatives. She/he will be the expert the team will leverage for talent and leadership pipeline development; drive culture change ie GE Beliefs, Simplification, FastWorks, Performance Development, etc and contemporary HR practices. This will also be a dual role to support a client group/business.
Essential Responsibilities: •Facilitate development of EB pipeline and leadership bench strength in the region. Design and facilitate interventions and events to accelerate development and growth of top talent. •Champion talent processes and programs across the regions. Lead implementation of development initiatives such as RISE, XLP, etc. •Partner and coach the Client HR Managers - roll out of GE wide and GGO led processes and initiatives; facilitate best practice sharing across region; identify common challenges and intervention; etc •Provide thought partnership to Client HR Managers on organization design, and support implementation of 21st Century Organization. •Lead and support culture change initiatives (GE Beliefs roll out, performance development system, simplification, Fast Works etc.) •Use insights from GE Culture Compass survey to drive a response and action planning. •Provide Client HR support to the assigned group of business/client employees.
Qualifications/Requirements: •Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Industrial/Organizational Psychology •Minimum of 8 years of HR Generalist and/or HR Leadership experience with clear career progression People Energizer. Outstanding communication, coaching, influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization •Strong conceptual and execution skills; ability to move from strategy to execution with demonstrated success •Successful record of driving business solutions through influence and collaboration in a global, matrix organization
Must be fluent in both Japanese and English. Must posess work authorization to work in Japan.
Desired Characteristics: •Global experience, successful career stint of at least one year outside home country. •Graduate of the Human Resources Leadership Program
