Role Summary: The Salesforce.com Manager will be the primary owner and driver of commercial operations information and technology tools. These include Salesforce.com, ERP commercial menus and tables, SimpleSales and other commercial tools that enable simplification of the ITO and OTR processes and help reduce cycle time.
In addition you will :
Ensure SFDC.com is integration with SAP for key data points to drive data integrity; Key areas included Customer Master, Product Master, Project Management, etc.
Recommend and implement world-class, scalable tools and systems that meet the needs of our sales organization, improves ease of doing business with us for customers and drives business growth
Own the global Salesforce.com (SFDC) platform including enabling critical account management, opportunity management, install base, and forecasting functionality for commercial teams
Partner with other Commercial functions including Sales, Marketing, Learning, Product Management and Supply Chain to leverage SFDC.com for commercial effectiveness
Evaluate core commercial processes and recommend improvements that drive sales team productivity, maximize margin, win rates and reduce ITO cycle time
Drive digital tools adoption, maintenance and continuous improvement through education, process training and system improvements aligned sales imperatives
Facilitate opportunities for feedback
Partner the E-Commerce Manager and relevant cross-functional teams to ensure strong interlock processes downstream for the evolving inquiry-to-order and quoting processes
Synthesize requests from regional adoption & utilization teams, reconcile conflicts, deconstruct high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
Partner with IT team to drive simplified and efficient design & build process, executing on a predictable and repeatable Global Release build timeline
Provide thought leadership, develop new ITO tools and update current tools (i.e. Simple Sales, GE Cross Reference tool, product replacement for delistment) to ensure simplification and standardization of the audit process
Digitize process workflows such agent onboarding, distributor set up, RMA, sales concession requests, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in IT / engineering / Business Administration / Finance or equivalent from an accredited 4 year university or college
Minimum of 7 years of IT / commercial experience
Minimum of 7 years of IT / commercial experience, with a proven track record of performance
Minimum of 5 years of exposure to commercial sales & marketing processes
Expertise & deep knowledge of SFDC
Proven technical aptitude to work with IT teams to integrate existing systems
Strong sense of urgency with a demonstrated record of meeting commitments
Flexibility and entrepreneurial, self-starter approach, ability to effectively challenge status quo
Significant CRM-specific experience with an emphasis on sales enablement for a large, multi-location sales force
Business project management and CRM implementation experience within a complex corporate environment
Experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
