Role Summary:
The Senior Sales Leader demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:

This role will support the Dowty Propellers business with particular focus on aftermarket services of the installed base of Dowty products. The role is based in Gloucester/Cheltenham and reports directly into the Mechanical Systems Product Sales Director with a dotted line into the Dowty Product Leader.

Essential Responsibilities
• Gather market intelligence and competitive information to understand overall market conditions; Work with Marketing to develop new products and services for commercial growth
• Make informed business decisions and recommendations based upon a thorough understanding of GE Aviation, customer and commercial aviation market financial dynamics. Identify, prioritize, and target opportunities; using data analysis and revenue modeling to evaluate market potential
• Provide deal team leadership for sales activities (prospecting, account planning, identification of customer needs, solution development, customer objection management, negotiations and deal closure) working with customer account managers and global sales directors.
• Lead deal structuring, pricing and all other proposal development activities as the sales team's primary proposal interface with projects, platform, global operations, risk management and other functional groups as required
• Lead campaign strategy development and reviews, ultimately obtaining appropriate approvals for pricing, delivery and other commercial terms for specific sales proposals
• Develop clear and concise value propositions from the customer's perspective that addresses their needs and maximizes impact for the business goals. leveraging deep knowledge of industry, customer and product to develop winning proposals. Communicate, train and support global sales directors in executing these propositions with customers.
• Support sales directors with direct customer negotiations as required
• Demonstrate command of the contractual terms and conditions specific to the product solutions negotiated with and sold to the customer, particularly in the aviation services sector
• Implement and execute process to establish appropriate Aviation customer team and customer contact plan to facilitate the creation of robust customer relationships both on and off season
• Understand financial risk/controllership/regulatory compliance issues;
• Employ operating rhythm rigor to implement & execute process to achieve customer targets and sales plans; support the overall business management team to create sales plans that meet business objectives via the required operating rhythms
• Lead and participate in lean projects to improve the effectiveness of the sales organization



Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Proven years of experience in Sales, Program Management, or Customer Support, ideally in Aviation services
