Role Summary:
The Channel Sales Partner Relationship Manager is charged with establishing, maintaining and growing key channel sales partner relationships that achieve the business’ overall sales goals.

Essential Responsibilities:
The Channel Sales Partner Relationship Manager will facilitate engagement of Channel Sales partners to enhance the reach of the GE Grid Software Solutions (SWS) direct sales teams globally. Channel Sales partners sell GE SWS solutions to the GE end customer.

This highly visible role is an opportunity to drive achievement of GE SWS sales targets by working with key channel sales partners and regional sales teams.

In addition, you will:
  • Facilitate partner relationships by identifying and working with partners who commit to GE SWS’s strategic directions
  • Work with partners to develop success metrics including specific KPIs that drive adoption and revenue growth for GE SWS
  • Ensure Energy Connections and GE SWS processes are followed
  • Right-size the number of Channel Sales partners globally to align with regional sales objectives
  • Facilitate management of new and existing partners by maintaining relationships with key decision makers at various levels
  • Enroll partners in the Channel Sales Partner program at the appropriate level with supporting agreements
  • Support Region and Segment Sales strategy/quotas and day-to-day partner engagements
  • Establish clear, consistent and accurate financial reporting
  • Work with Marketing on Partner Communications, partner portals
  • Establish sales plans with each channel sales partner in concert with region sales objectives
  • Identify, review, nominate and track partner participation in GE and Industry events
  • Address channel conflicts and partner performance issues
  • Ensure regular reporting of sales targets
  • Organize and host quarterly reviews


Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree required
  • 10 years' experience in sales, services, partner management and/or solution creation
Eligibility Requirements

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for
    employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%



Desired Characteristics:
  • Requires successful partnership management experience within a division of a mid to large company
  • Knowledge of relevant industry software solutions including but not limited to operations software, cloud and managed services, enterprise software, IOT, analytics.
  • Requires successful partnership management experience within a division of a mid to large company.
  • Sales and/or customer facing experience
  • Successful contract negotiation skills
  • Must be at ease in matrix organization
  • Experience leading transversal initiatives across a global organization
  • Strong business acumen and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to establish a collaborative work environment with global stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understand the role of channel sales partners in the organization
  • Manage partners with business objectives in mind
  • Experience working with power (electric, water, gas, renewables), telecommunications and oil & gas companies globally a plus
  • Demonstrated success in working with partners to meet sales targets
  • Proven ability to champion new ideas, with strong execution skills and proven ability to translate ideas into actions.
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
