Role Summary: This role supports customer relationship building, working with account data, as well as technical services support and outside sales teams to solicit and generate revenues for aftermarket products. Aftermarket products include consumables, instrument services and extended warranties. Working with outside sales, this person will be responsible for a defined geography communicating directly with customers and partners to solicit new aftermarket business and driving repeating revenue contracts.
The role will be responsible for GE Analytical Instruments customer account review performing analytics and leveraging customer relationships to improve renewal rates and expanding new business revenues for consumables and services.
The successful candidate must communicate well with outside sales representatives to create a team approach to winning customers and long term business relationships.
This person will need to be proficient with Pivotal, maintaining the accuracy of installed instruments, providing customer quotations and document subsequent follow up to close business opportunities.
Prepare proposals for contracts.
Work aftermarket sales opportunities funnel to close.
Utilise effective communication tools (phone) to prospect business.
Participate in specialised sales projects (i.e. Upgrade offers to customers).
Provide monthly reports to management.
Attend routine team calls with Commercial and Aftermarket groups.
Demonstrate accountability and proactive approach to solving problems.
Demonstrate an understanding of strategic selling.
Approximately 5-7 days of field travel per year.
Degree in Economics, Languages or Science (Chemical/Environmental/Other engineering or Chemistry).
Equivalent experience will also be considered for this position.
Fluent English and German language knowledge.
Degree in Marketing or Business.
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
Proven ability to multitask on several concurrent projects.
Language skills (French, German) an asset.
Ability to analyse data for relevant patterns and opportunities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
