Role Summary: The Lead Engineer will be responsible for executing new product development engineering projects through all project phases, from concept through commercialization. In addition responsibilities include developing product specific solutions, provide technical support for legacy and newly introduced products to manufacturing and field operations, and monitor product performance data from Reliability engineering to continuously improve existing products.
Essential Responsibilities: In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. The Engineer is also responsible for designing Mechanical product/subsystem release solutions by conceptualizing, designing and qualifying artificial lift technologies.
In the role of Lead Engineer – Gas Lift Mechanical Design, you will:
Be responsible for Mechanical systems design of gas lift and other artificial lift technologies for subsurface equipment from the conceptual design phase and progressing though the detailed design phases to culminate in equipment qualification
Work as part of multi-disciplined team to execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Develop plans to achieve technical requirements, scheduling and commitments
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments with appropriate abatement plans
Collaborate with cross functional teams including Sourcing and Manufacturing to ensure engagement and execution on project deliverables
Execute projects through the NPI process
Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum 3 years of design experience in Gas Lift or Hydraulic Lift system
Ability to excute the design, analysis, planning, or evaluation of assigned projects to develop products within the industry using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Experience with product developments for required design based on request from Product Line Management (NPI Process)
Experience with 3D design (SolidWorks), mechanical design & analysis tool (ANSYS – FEA and CFD)
Proficiency in GD&T & Tolerance Analysis and ANSI/ASME Y14 drawing standards
Experience with project managements
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated leadership in advancing the state of the art in a technical specialty
Demonstrated competency in using standard project management tools
Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams
Design for manufacturing and reliability experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated self-motivation to improve his / her value to the company
