Role Summary: Director of Advanced Data Analytics and Machine Learning would be an Engineering Manager responsible for leading a group Scientists and Engineers in the fields of Advanced Data Analysis, Machine Learning, and Machine Vision. The group is critical for the success of an Industrial IOT startup working on Automating Industrial Asset Integrity Assessment using Advanced Analytics and Machine Learning techniques applied on data streams collected using sensors and autonomous robotic systems.
Essential Responsibilities: The Director of the group will be responsible for all aspects of group operations and will also have advanced subject matter expertise to help the team with key design and roadmap feature decisions. Director will also work very closely with Product Management, Engineering Resources, and Executive Management to execute on the overall product rollout strategy.
Provide key technical and management leadership to the group
Provide technical expertise on key design, architectural and roadmap decisions
Collaborate with GE Global Research Team and external partners to execute on the overall business strategy by clearly articulating the deliverables, timelines, and budget
Lead the charge to grow the group to about 10 professionals by the end of FY 2017 by attracting tier-1 talent
