Role Summary: As a MR Physics Development Scientist within GE’s Applications & Workflow organization (aka Applied Science Laboratory), you will distinguish yourself through cutting-edge innovation in broad, clinical, physics and systems-related areas of magnetic resonance imaging. The position will be based at GE Healthcare Magnetic Resonance headquarters in Waukesha. Working with internal development engineers, scientists, application specialists and external research partners.
Essential Responsibilities: 1. Identify unmet clinical and technical needs in various areas, including novel sequences, image reconstruction, system modeling & tools and prescan calibration 2. Work in close collaboration with engineering teams to develop and test prototypes and in product integration 3. Grow GE’s intellectual property portfolio in related areas of MR imaging 4. Establish and maintain relationships with select external luminary investigators for the purposes of collaborative research 5. Provide technical leadership, training and mentorship to the MR business
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Ph.D. in Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in MR physics research and clinical imaging, with a demonstrated record of innovation 3. Minimum of 3 years of MR pulse programming and image reconstruction experience 4. Demonstrated expertise in MR Motion Corrective strategies 5. Excellent English language oral and written communication skills

Desired Characteristics: 1. Demonstrated record of innovation in the area of MR imaging 2. Experience with GE MR EPIC pulse sequence programming and GE Orchestra reconstruction 3. Familiarity with FDA and CE-marking regulatory approval 4. Strong knowledge of GE MR clinical applications and Advantage Windows
