Role Summary: The Field Service Tech will be skilled and understand the purpose and principles of operating pressure relief and/or control valves. In this role, you will be responsible for installation, connection, servicing, testing, adjustment, repair, maintenance, removal, trouble shooting, inspection and replacement of safety and relief valves.
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Field Service Technician, you will:
Perform repairs, services, maintenance and assembly operations while maintaining safety and quality as a top priority in and around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment
Demonstrate sound judgment with the ability to make decisions and corrections when problems are identified / detected when servicing in safety, safety relief and/or control valve in the field
Ensure all products repaired / assembled meet the quality standards in accordance with procedures, engineering specifications, drawings, and work instructions
Perform functional tests as required
Collect data and documents and prepares detailed reports for customer review, billing records and expense reporting
Assume responsibility and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions
Maintain a neat and organized work areas, including fleet vehicles
Assign, explain, direct, assist and correlate the work of contractors when assigned to the project team
Adhere to all policies and procedures
Practice safe work habits to ensure an injury free environment
Use physical force to lift, push, pull, and hold equipment and tools
Climb and work at various heights, sometimes working in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouched or kneeling position
Routinely react to visual, aural, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
Be on the job and available to work overtime, at times for extended periods of time based on seasonal customer demands
Any job duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution (OR Minimum 6 years in mechanical repair / production environment, safety, safety relief and/or control valve maintenance experience, in lieu of education)
Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical repair / production environment, safety, safety relief and/or control valve maintenance
Must have a valid driver’s license
Ability and willingness to obtain and/or maintain a TWIC and DOT Driver’s license
Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
Ability and willingness to work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability and willingness to be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
Ability and willingness to be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, PSV Data and Capacity charts
Experience working with measurement device sand test gauges
Ability and willingness to lift and work with Personal Protective Equipment, including Emergency Breathing Apparatus

Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred
Minimum 3 years in safety, safety relief and/or control valve, preferred
Experience working in a gad gathering system operation, preferred
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Experience working in and around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook

Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment
Ability to read and interpret documents such as master schedule, safety rules, operating instructions, drawing/prints and procedure manuals

Sound judgment with the ability to make decisions and correction when problems are detected
Ability to work independently and/or in team assignments
Strong safety record and knowledge of safety rules and practices
