Role Summary: The Welder/ Fabricator will work at the Erlanger, KY Service Center to manufacture large scale, power generation equipment along with their sub-assemblies by following blueprints and specific work instructions.
Join, fabricate, and weld to engineering drawings sketches along with written and verbal instructions
Follow step by step work instructions for fabricating any product or components
Responsible for producing high quality work and craftmanship for holding tight tolerances to fictures and engineered drawings
Use a variety of measureing devices, blueprints and work instructions
Set up and weld equipment
High school Diploma or GED
2 to 5 years of dual shield flux core / MIG Weld according to AWS D1.1
2 to 5 years reading and comprehending engineered manufactuing drawings
Ability and willingness to work multiple shift(s)
Ability and willingness to work overtime, various shifts, holidays and weekends, as required
Ability and willingness to wear personal protective equipment
Ability to calculate figures, basic math and understanding of measuring and metrics
Ability to follow work rules, carry out instructions either written, oral, or diagram form
Follow step by step work instructions for fabricating smelt spout product components
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to TIG Weld according to ASME Section IX
