Role Summary: Drive Continuous Improvement practices across all functions of GE Oil & Gas Pressure Control, with the objective of identification and elimination of the causes of systemic issues across the business. This includes process rigor and effectiveness of Root Cause Analyses, Corrective and Preventive Actions.
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Continuous Improvement Leader, you will:
Build a Continuous Improvement program across all organizations and functions of Pressure Control, incorporating the concepts of Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventive Action
Develop Continuous Improvement toolkit and operating fundamentals
Work closely with Quality and cross-functional teams to identify adverse trends to Quality and systemic issues, to ensure true root causes are identified to determine area of culpability
Develop actions to focus programs on these areas to drive measurable improvement
Enhance customer complaint reporting, analysis of trends, operating mechanisms to reduce aging and ensure RCA and closure effectiveness
Interface with IM, Training resources and other organizations to maximize the use of technology
Work closely with the Drilling & Surface Quality Team to incorporate Continuous Improvement fundamentals into all training programs
Coordinate with Finance for COQ reporting and analysis – identify areas of opportunity to drive reductions and coordinate with functions
Work closely with Traditional Quality teams to ensure an appropriate level of guidance is provided in procedures and work instructions to institutionalize Corrective and Preventive Actions
Advance program through necessary evolution to drive a true Continuous Improvement culture and engrain associated behaviors in the organization
Drive Best Practices across the organization by leveraging the Quality Management System
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in an Engineering or related Engineering field
Minimum 3 years of experience in creating and leading a Continuous Improvement program
Understanding of Continuous Improvement fundamentals
Strong facilitation skills
Strategic and Clear Thinking to translate discrete and complex ideas to business driven results
BB Certified (GE Employees Only)
RCA leader Qualified
Strong business acumen coupled with technical knowledge (field and factory)
Proven ability to work in a matrix environment
Strong verbal and written Communication Skills and Influencing Skills
Team Builder and Leader
Must be a change agent by nature
Self-motivated with a high level of proficiency in the GE Toolkit
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
