Role Summary:
The role described here is directly involved in providing engineering support (remote or onsite) on Magnetic Resonance Superconducting Magnets, Gradient Coils and MR Systems to customers as well as GE Healthcare Field Engineers and ensures on-time delivery of technical publications/Service Manuals.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Support level 4 service calls, support Installation and customer escalations (CSOs) at customer sites .
• Traveling to global customer sites to troubleshoot and repair hardware quality issues. Working with local field service and customers to address concerns and improve GE MR Net Promoter Score.
• Strong customer advocate focused on issue resolution.
• Identifying systemic issues in product or process and providing feedback to IB/NPI teams.
• Setting appropriate expectations to service teams & customers.
• Engaging the appropriate resources within MR to resolve customer issues.
• Providing critical inputs to the engineering organization that addresses systemic field issues; focusing on improving field engineer training, technical design reviews for New Product Introductions (NPIs), Field Modification Instructions (FMIs) and reliability improvement opportunities.
• Defining and owning service manuals, procedures for field modifications related to Magnetic Resonance Superconducting Magnets.
• Running training classes for field engineers to share best practice and techniques, survey field practices and improve customer experience and service outcomes globally.
• Magnet remote monitoring data mining to respond/suggest the right plan of action for the benefit of our customer.
• Support factory and engineering bays when needed.
• The position requires communication with all functions in the organization and will be involved in the full life cycle of the product from definition to verification/validation and installed base support.

• Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
• Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
• Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
• Ensure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Outputs/Program Deliverables
• Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of practical experience in superconductive magnet service and maintenance.
• Willingness and ability to travel globally up to 50%, including overnight stays.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time
• Must be willing to work in our Florence, SC facility full-time
• Must be able to work safely in high magnetic field

• Support the product development life cycle, from the reliability, serviceability and cost perspective.
• Be involved in both support of existing products with manufacturing, sourcing and service and new product design.
• Participate in product safety, cost out, cycle time reduction and quality enhancement projects.
• Support and comply with the quality and safety goals of GE Healthcare (GEHC).
• Define serviceability concepts, functional requirements and program goals.
• Provide support and direction in the design and analysis of advanced products.
