Role Summary: The Senior Site Leadership Manager will delineate all jobs on site to both internal and contracted field personnel so that they are safely aware of all assembly, material and labor specifications to ensure proper installation, staging, construction and start-up tasks.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Senior Site Leadership Manager, you will:
Field, monitor, and log all technical questions of the project to ensure proper EHS (Environmental Health & Safety), tooling, and manning requirements
Be responsible for auditing EHS conditions and activities on site
Be directly responsible for field operations on Energy Services projects including site management, technical advisory services, field execution performance (EHS, staging, quality, schedule & cost)
Interface, coordinate and log all issues with sourcing & suppliers on delivery, receiving, as delivered conditions and warranty items
Conduct as required performance meetings with all subcontractors' management to review detailed EHS schedule, work development / interface issues and formulate written action plans
Audit progress and inspect quality frequently to allow immediate correction of any problems by utilizing check sheets and other quality control documentation
Assure and inspect contractors 'weight work progress' with check documents either written or on-line that reflect quantity, eg cubic meter (Concrete) linear, (pipe) Linear / termination (cable) that reflect the % complete claimed by contractor and reflect the project baseline requirements
Communicate with upper management and project teams with daily (detailed) reports and upload to collaboration software inclusive of site photos that support the dialog
Maintain Daily Logs, Field Failure / Incident Reports through on-line work forms and tools
Support Project Management on pre mobilizations activity needed prior to assignment at site
Provide construction expertise on any construction or subcontractor related issues as required for Civil, Erection, Electrical, Protection & Control related issues
Update all Cost of Quality issues and Lessons Learned with on-line reporting tools
Be the director and oversee of all site activities you will interface directly with the client and GE home office you will establish all site facility requirements pre and post mobilization and ensure that QMS inspections, procedures and administration procedures are being followed
Approve and distribute all site-generated documents, reports and correspondence to the client and the home office
Critical to secure, manage, update and control all paper and electronic documentation on site responsibly
Overall responsibility for the project execution, adherence to contract specifications and code, testing and commissioning requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of third-party construction site supervisory experience
Ability and willingness to travel 80% of the time throughout North America and internationally and be willing to comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies
High energy, with strong communication skills and ability to function well in a team environment and in isolated / remote locations
Demonstrated ability in meeting schedule commitments
Ability to support complex multi-task activities
Strong leadership and managerial skills
Computer literate, Word, Excel, Power Point, remote connectivity, on-line tools etc.
Proven Track record of completing projects on time and within budget
Experience in project cost controls & procedures
Experience with GE Equipment Installations
Experience with Primavera scheduling of projects
Demonstrated installation and/or commissioning of Energy Services Projects and Utility Substation transmission and distribution equipment
Experience with Transmission Line projects
Ability to plan and sequence construction tasks including civil, steel erection and protection and control elements based on supplied project documentation
