Role Summary: The Regeneration Operator will prepare multiple water treatment media using chemical processes for use at customer sites via mobile water treatment equipment. You will also perform quality control checks on the media and equipment prior to dispatch.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Regeneration Operator, you will:
Regenerate ion exchange resins and other media utilizing established procedures typically using PLC controlled equipment for backwash, chemical addition and rinsing
Prepare mobile units to specification, which includes proper resin loading, equipment checks, supplying / outfitting the unit with tools, test kits, meters, pumps and other required materials
Be responsible for general housekeeping in work area, facility and mobile units
Perform quality control checks of the mobile units prior to dispatch
Complete appropriate shift and unit paperwork in SAP
Operate forklift as required
Handle chemicals as part of the regeneration process as well as oversees chemical vendor off-loading to tanks and transfers. Chemicals typically are acids, basses and salts and others as required
Occasionally travel to customer site assignments for "on site" regeneration's, equipment installation, etc.
Perform Plant Operation assignments as assigned by Plant Manager, Regeneration Manager or Shift Leads
Follow EHS procedures and policies
Maintain good housekeeping at all times
High School Diploma / GED
Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity
Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities
Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time, for customer regeneration's; installation, etc.
Ability and willingness to handle and lift 50 lbs.
Ability and willingness to obtain Forklift certification within 90 days
Ability and willingness to enter confined spaces as needed – 14"x 18" elliptical man ways
Ability and willingness to travel for install and repair, as required
Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record history
Ability and willingness to work shift work and/or rotation shift
Ability and willingness to work unscheduled work and OT
High School Chemistry
College Chemistry knowledge
Minimum of 1 year of experience in comparable manufacturing environment involving chemical handling OR minimum of 1 year of experience in plumbing, pump or mechanical repair
Ability to apply to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form
Ability to work on a team and take initiative
Dependable, accountable and diligent
