Role Summary: Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures (technical Bachelor’s Degree).
Essential Responsibilities: • Interact with business leaders regarding freight forwarder / GE approved carrier usage and performance to increase visibility regarding over dimensional or urgent high priority shipments • Drive information sharing regarding international transportation providers • Lead efforts to reduce transportation costs for businesses and assist in driving costs out • Manage operational relationship of 3rd party letter of credit documentation preparation and 3rd party export logistics for businesses • Track shipments from global suppliers and drive on time deliveries via use of daily tracking process with GE Routing Center, Shipping Lines and Freight Forwarders • Ensure timely submission of customs document submission to facilitate fast and accurate deliveries • Facilitate use of required planning and forecasting tools to simplify overall Logistics process • Develop optimum Logistics model to drive the most efficient flow of materials and products • Pursue logistics functional excellence in all areas
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering -Logistics specialization is preferred (or equivalent knowledge/experience) • Experience in manufacturing company in logistic department • Prior experience in export-import compliance, logistics and operations is preferred • Knowledge of US and EU export regulations, foreign customs requirements, letters of credit, trade finance programs, free trade agreements and international logistics and shipping requirements • Fluent in English and Polish • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and challenging environment • Strong result oriented mindset • Flexibility to work in non-regular working hours • Strong oral and written communication skills
