Role Summary: The Steam Turbine Technical Sales Upgrades Engineer will participate in the sale and strategy of the GE O&G API612 Steam Turbine Upgrades for Accounts within the United States and Canada. The candidate will be responsible for participating in direct customer meeting, developing regional market dynamics and competitive strategy, and supporting proposal development (technical and commercial).
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of North America Steam Turbine Upgrade Sales, you will:
Be responsible for obtaining orders and sales by driving and implementing sales strategy for the regional accounts
Develop knowledge of market trends, customer requirements, competitor actions, and customer base
Provide deal leadership for related sales within an assigned sales region through the formulation and execution of proposal strategies that capitalize on GE's competitive strengths to serve the customer's needs resulting in execution of definitive sales agreements
Work with the extended GE Oil & Gas teams to identify opportunities to drive volume growth in all segments of the business function
Contribute to defining and implementing marketing and commercial strategies to increase orders volume and profitability
Leverage cross-functional and cross business resources to maximize market penetration
Work with Marketing to develop strategies and services for business growth
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum 5 years of experience associated with Aftermarket, Sales function or customer facing position with Rotating Equipment
Extensive Downstream & Industrial Power Generation customer base and market experience
Knowledge of GE Turbomachinery, specifically impulse and reaction style steam turbine generator product line and services
Able to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Working knowledge of assigned systems and client organization and practices
Demonstrated decisiveness as evidenced by the ability to make decisions with speed and accuracy
Adaptable and open to change in response to unexpected circumstances and or in working in ambiguous situations
