Role Summary:
A Lead engineer has the capacity to manage design packages integrated in small and medium
complexity projects.
•With an important customer in terms of secured and potential contracts or target market.
•That constitutes a major financial, technical and or commercial risk & opportunities
•The impact of the project will have a significant effect on the Business unit
•Operating within an (inter)national environment with many complex internal and suppliers interfaces

Essential Responsibilities:
•Establish, based on tender and contract analysis, project strategy the list of documents to produce for covered field of activity
•Participate with PEM or PM to design time evaluation and deliverables issuance dates for concerned package and commit to such budget in man days and in time delivery
•Elaborate electromechanical basic and detailed design for HV and EHV substations such as: Physical arrangements, electrical and electromechanical calculations, shielding and earthing designs, etc.
•Define main electrical characteristics of HV equipment and all complementary systems, ensuring traceability from Customer requirements to equipment specifications.
•Follow project strategy
•Highlight scope or design changes (data for claims, VO..)
•In line with general time schedule, participate to elaboration of required specification & BOQ to sourcing to prepare RFQ on time & coordinate BOQ updating
•Follow design process.
•Give support to project construction team in order to solve any issue related to substations engineering.

•Have a Bachelor's Degree on Electrical or Mechanical Electrical Engineering+6 years general experience on engineering field.
•Have minimum 3 year experience on HV and EHV substations electromechanical design (110 kV and above).
•Knowledge of international normative related to substations design.
•Communication skills in English. Must have High Intermediates Level. Must be able to maintain a normal day-to-day fluid conversation on any topic).
•First experience in management of subcontracted design work package of reduced size (preferably outside)
•Willingness to work in different locations for short or medium period and to travel world-wide when required
•Knowledge of Transmission or Distribution industry
•Knowledge about Project organization and engineering process covering his field of activity

Desired Characteristics:
•Knowledgeable of Alstom technology.
