Role Summary:
In this role, the Proactivity Leader will partner with the regional and functional teams to drive a culture of proactivity, quality and collaboration in Fleet Reliability Operations through tackling systemic issues early, developing tools that detect indications of unconformities and driving Cost of Quality (COQ) initiatives to reduce cost. They will be responsible for defining and leading corrective action implementation that will improve fleet performance and operations.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute COQ initiatives with cross-functional teams in Field Service, Repairs, Parts, Engineering and the Global Supply Chain (GSC) to reduce overall wind turbine lifecycle costs
  • Establish a proactivity culture by leading and executing proactivity projects that improve issue resolution cycle time, enable early detection of field issues and results in lower COQ
  • Lead root cause analysis for issues that will impact fleet availability majorly and result in high CoQ if not solved quickly
  • Collaborate with the Digital and Engineering team to understand, improve and initiate those kind of tools developments that are necessary to understand issues that will affect availability and COQ
  • Develop a path of proactivity actions to reach the yearly availability/CTQ targets
  • Work with the Fleet Programs and Project & Services team on fleet programs and punch list work to optimize preparation, implementation and downtime costs.
  • Lead a regular operating rhythm around customer facing metrics including trend analysis and improvement plans for Field Services, Repairs, Parts, and Engineering Services
  • Work with operating leaders and teams to create a road map of continuous improvement projects and track the implementation and the effect of the customer facing metrics
  • Communicate teams’ progress to Business Leaders
  • Educate, coach, and mentor team on proactivity/Fastworks philosophy and application

  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, controls, electrical or related Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Fluency in English language, both written and spoken
  • Solid engineering experience. Proven ability to catch technical context quick and easy and proven ability to design simple and solid technical solutions.
  • Solid project management experience. Proven ability to run projects in an efficient and effective way during the entire project cycle.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently without direct supervision. Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve results.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders to become supporters

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Ability and availability to travel up to 10%
  • Ability to climb wind turbine towers of 100m or more

Desired Characteristics:
  • Advanced degree in Engineering
  • Degree in business administration
  • Green Belt / Black Belt / Master Black Certification or equivalent quality certification and/or a proven education or work history in statistical analysis of complex data and measurement systems
  • Fluency in German/Spanish language, both written and spoken
