Role Summary: The Commercial Leadership Program (CLP) is an intensive 2-year entry-level development program requiring 3 or 4 rotational assignments in sales, commercial and /or marketing roles to accelerate the growth and development of exceptional talents. It prepares candidates for a successful career in sales or marketing.
Essential Responsibilities: As a member of the Commercial Leadership Program you will develop practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. In this role you will be responsible for work that is less defined in scope, utilize your understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. The Commercial Leadership Program (CLP) seeks to accelerate the growth and development of exceptional talent through a dynamic sales curriculum that promotes the specialized knowledge and skills inherent to GE’s future sales leaders Leveraging GE’s boundary-less selling environment, the Program offers a framework where Members can harness their outstanding communication, leadership, and technical skills to develop and demonstrate an understanding of quality customer partnerships Reaching beyond the simple selling of products and services, Program graduates master the ability to provide wing-to-wing solutions and add value for both GE and its customers CLP offers three to four six-month rotational assignments advanced sales training, business and leadership courses, mentoring and career planning during two years
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience
Proven years of experience in sales, marketing or customer support
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) is preferred or equivalent knowledge and experience
Outstanding academic achievements (Top 25% of class)
Interest in sales
Geographic flexibility and global mind-set
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Able to coordinate many tasks concurrently
