Role Summary: The Sales Account Manager should demonstrate leadership in customer relationship, communicating business goals and complying with internal processes for an area or business segment. This role solves issues, develops and executes objectives for self and others and must have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities: • Identifies and develops new business opportunities to maintain and grow the sales pipeline; • Develops and executes sales strategies relevant to the market opportunities; • Communicates individual customer requirements for ITO in regards to design and quotation; • Gathers industry intelligence to inform business decision-making; • Directs customer management through clear communication internally and externally; • Documents competitors’ activities and assess potential market moves; • Reviews and influences customer specifications to ensure compliance and/or noted exceptions for development of equipment and service quotations; • Makes technical presentations to all levels of customer organization; • Manages and negotiates commercial and contractual risk within the Inquiry to Order (ITO) process; • Contributes positively to other regional sales, Comm Ops, Finance, ITO and OTR teams; • Supports the installed base mapping activities and leverages it to create an increased opportunity pipeline;
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) with at least 5 yrs. of experience in a Marketing, Sales, Application or Product position, preferably in Services/Brownfield segments; • Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical products/packages, including Motors and Generators (fundamental), Drives and Automation/Electrical Systems; • Willingness and ability to travel; • Fluency in English; • Proven ability to succeed in a Matrix organization;
