Role Summary: The PC and Mobility Lifecycle Leader will drive the health of our PC and Mobility fleet. In the PC Environment, the leader will be responsible for software distribution, patching, defect remediation focusing on the core tools that eliminate risks in the GE environment. In the mobility environment, the leader will drive version obsolescence and reporting. This leader will work closely with the L1/L2 support resources to ensure all assets are accounted for and managed appropriately.
In this role you will drive the Software Distribution, Patching, & Defect Remediation
Drive defect remediation for asset discovered in one of more of the discovery/management tools (Tanium, AD, Digital Guardian, etc)
Ensure all assets in the system of records are receiving updates
Complete the monthly patching driving to 99% in 5 days
Drive defect remediation across tools all health management tools
Automate solutions to maintain our single source of truth and deliver proactive remediations to address gaps in service, tool management, coverage and policy requirements
Identify, research and drive to resolution users with multiple mobility billings accounts
Work with the L1 and L2 Support teams to drive remediations when automation does not resolve the issue
Deliver business requested software distribution
Partner with the IT Risk team to deliver outcomes that will better protect the Company and provide solutions to the EVM team
Lead the team of hands-on resources driving the services that manage and improve the health of our asset fleet
Actively communicate progress against goals
Drive the talent infusion needed to insource the talent inside of GE to deliver our strategy
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, OR in lieu of degree: HS Diploma/GED and 10+ years of IT experience or equivalent military experience/training.
Minimum 5 years of direct team leadership of employees with proven ability to deliver in a global team environment with members working remotely in various time zones.
Minimum of 2 or more successful large scale implementations with multiple lines of business and overall experience
Minimum years of experience in business planning, resource allocation, or the project management of implementing information technologies
Strong technical foundation in PC and mobility tools and services
The ability to balance the long-term ("big picture") and short-term implications of individual design decisions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences
Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships; creates processes with customer viewpoint; partners with customers to help shape their future initiatives
Demonstrated commitment to quality and delivering complete solutions that solve business problems or deliver our strategy
Strong technical foundation in PC imaging, software distribution, inventory tools, and IT risk products
