Role Summary: As a Sr Technical Product Manager, you will work with cross-functional teams to:
Deliver innovative features that enable the Oil & Gas Asset Performance Management (APM) marquee demonstration system to drive strategic sales.
Inform the core product roadmap with field and customer feedback to insure the roadmap meets customer needs and maximizes GE’s sales opportunities.
Essential Responsibilities: In this role, you will:
Collaborate with Product Managers to understand the release and sprint backlogs short-term roadmap (quarterly releases) for incorporation into the commercial demonstration system.
Collaborate with UX Design team and outside design firms to share customer needs and behaviors and to build out a comprehensive suite of personas and customer scenarios from C-level to operational levels across the oil and gas industries.
Collaborates with Product Managers, TPMs and development team to understand and manage the demonstration system backlog; continuously orders and prioritizes to ensure that release iteration sprint backlogs are always ready.
Prioritizes continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer and field organization problems and needs.
Collaborates with product managers/TPMs to decompose features into consumable user stories.
Engages frequently (50-75% of the time) with the remote development team; facilitates discussions, provides clarification, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions.
Collaborates with key stakeholders (product owner, product managers, field team members, customers and TPMs) to translate unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work units.
Partners with product owners and development managers to ensure healthy development process. Applies Agile Methodology.
Work with a wide range of stakeholders (product managers, product owners, commercial teams, organizational leadership and customers) to identify “wow factor” usage scenarios and innovative visuals that translate future roadmap requirements into “demonstrable now” capabilities.
Help evolve the software design to inform and guide the long term commercial product roadmap.
Manage critical high-stakes proofs-of-concept and customer demo customizations, delivering solid code with required functionality on short notice under stringent deadlines.
Oversee execution, integration and deployment of end user features in conjunction with technical architecture and non-functional requirements.
Work with multiple stakeholders (internal & external) to define the overall scope of their work and meet the Quality metrics needed to monitor the performance of the ongoing work.
Define the nonfunctional requirements associated with the systems working closely with technical leadership.
Act as the Agile product owner for ongoing development sprints prioritizing features to be developed based on technical competency and end user value metrics.
Work directly with defined end users to align prioritized features for Agile development.
Communicate business objectives and priorities for near term and long term to technical execution teams by leveraging technical experience.
