Role Summary: The Core Technology team at Wise.io is looking for highly motivated candidates to assist with the development and testing of highly scalable and resource-efficient. The intern will gain first-hand experience in translating machine learning research into a stable, efficient implementation that is worthy of production.
The intern will learn how to plan and write tests for new implementations of algorithms from a research environment. The intern will respond to bug and performance reports and work with the data science team to continually improve implementations to meet production needs.
Obtained or working towards a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related disciplines
Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
Adept with C++ including template-metaprogramming, the C++11 & C++14 standards
Strong knowledge of the Python ecosystem including Pandas, NumPy
Coursework in statistics, probability theory
Some experience with machine learning
Knowledge of git
Experience with deep learning algorithms and tools
Computer vision or NLP expertise
