Role Summary: The Field Service Representative will be responsible for providing on-site technical customer service for GE Water and Process Technologies Chemical Monitoring Solutions primarily at our Arizona customer locations. This position will include chemistry test, chemical feed and control equipment maintenance, chemical inventory management, technical recommendations, and written service reports. This is a customer facing position.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Field Service Representative - Arizona, you will:
Install and services chemical feed and water treatment and chemical feed equipment at designated locations
Act as technical consultant and liaison with customer management and technical counterparts
Perform water analysis and/or collects samples for preparation, labeling and shipment to designated laboratory for analysis
Work with PLC controls, understands water process treatment design, and repairs pumps, instruments and control panels
Conduct preventative maintenance and calibrates feed pumps, controllers, feed rate charts and maintains log sheets
Perform occasional transfer of chemical
Maintain inventory of spare parts (lube oil, tubing, and piping), and adequate supply of reagents, sample containers, and shipment containers necessary for routine as well as special sampling and analysis
Ensure compliance with all aspects of safety on the job, including the operation and maintenance of an assigned company vehicle if required and complies with all GE Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies
High School Diploma / GED
Minimum of 2 years of lab, plant or maintenance experience
Demonstrated strong communication skills
Demonstrated strong computer skills
Technical training or education
Familiarity with water treatment processes and application
Strong interpersonal skills
Customer service and results oriented
Team player with the ability to take initiative
Ability to lift and move heavy loads and to operate a forklift
Ability to work independently
