Role Summary: The Senior Robotic System Integration and Testing Engineer role will require experienced engineers with strong technical and systems integration skills
Essential Responsibilities: The (Lead) (Senior) Integration and Testing Engineer role will require experienced engineers with strong technical and systems integration skills. The integration and testing engineers develop and test to production readiness complex robotic and static systems integrating GE and third party sub-systems into system of systems sensing platforms comprising digital and mechanical systems. These sensing platforms will be used to autonomously inspect a variety of industrial sites and include various sensor packages mounted on aerial, ground, and swimming robotic platforms as well as stationary sensors mounted in strategic customer locations. The Integration and Testing Engineer will ensure that all systems are integrated and tested sufficiently such that inspection delivery teams have reliable tools that provide repeatable results. The Integration and Testing Engineers must be able to work flexibly in a start-up type environment with high ambiguity, both leading programs and assisting on others programs as required to meet customer commitments. Programs require working globally and cross-functionally to deliver on objectives, with a high degree of commitment to meeting deadlines. In this role, you will:
Plan, organize and execute on development and integration of production ready autonomous inspection systems. This will include software and various sensor packages mounted on aerial, ground, and swimming robotic platforms and permanently mounted at customer sites.
Plan, organize and execute testing of systems ranging in complexity from bench testing of components to large -scale subsea field trials.
Interface with development labs to move systems from development phase to commercial readiness.
Ensure that development labs are building production critical feature into their systems.
Understand and ensure systems meet customer requirements and deliver readily deployable systems to the service delivery team. When systems do not meet the requirements, work cross-functionally to develop solutions.
Provide input to commercial methods and procedures and work service delivery teams to modify systems as necessary.
Work cross-functionally with the Program manager, sales teams, development labs, and others to deliver project results with a one team mindset
Manage risk effectively, developing mitigation plans as necessary to offset risks to goals and commitments
Execute using systems engineering processes to enable a strong system configuration, that meets customer requirements, and ensures that all subsystems are fully integrated and operational.
