Essential Responsibilities: Responsible for designing RF electrical circuits for product/subsystem release solutions. Design new products and/or support Installed Base of Analog, RF, and/or Digital (may include FPGAs) electrical circuit boards, components and interconnects. Execute design to engineering standards. Work within a team to deliver technical solutions. Work with patient/customers and/or technical leadership to ensure that the technical deliverables are consistent with the goals of larger programs, projects or initiatives. Provide mentoring to less senior engineers. Lead design efforts with Electrical CAD and Simulation tools. Engage in all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support. Identify and develop new opportunities to leverage Strategic Sourcing objectives and Common Technology initiatives in the modality product line. Develop and maintain Surface Coil subsystem quality and engineering project funnel. Conduct analysis of installed base and new product reliability using FMEA, Weibull Analysis and DFR. Define and execute component design verification. Develop innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability. Ensure reliability, performance and delivery through supplier relationships.
Qualifications/Requirements: The primary requirements are a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or related field, and five (5) years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s degree related experience in the offered position or in a related engineering occupation. The position also requires some experience in any of the following: Electromagnetics, Transmission Line design, Antenna Theory & Design, Mixers, Amplifiers, and/or Analog Design; some experience with engineering product development processes; and some experience with Mechanical and Thermal aspects of sub-system design and packaging.
