Role Summary:
The EHS Site Manager is responsible for the overall onshore operations linked to the Klaipeda site.
EHS Site Manager is responsible for establishing and implementing EHS Systems for the site, and for ensuring that all operations within the site are integrated. The EHS Site Manager shall provide leadership throughout the organization with regards to the development and compliance with EHS processes.
Reporting to the Oil & Gas Site Manager and functionally supported by the Advantec EHS Manager.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Advise site management to improve EHS performance, and drive a proactive approach towards EHS matters.
  • Develop, communicate and implement short and long term EHS strategy that aligns with regional business cycle growth
  • Customer EHS champion, external and internal customer focus, strong commitment to the operationalization of EHS activity
  • Work on base line site performance and closely with management to drive improvements in EHS metrics
  • Ensure EHS resources are effectively optimized, trained, coached and motivated
  • Lead site in complying with all applicable EHS rules, regulations and GE policies.
  • Monitor data to assess EHS challenges, and to develop approaches to control and improve.
  • Ensure effective working relationships with GE Subsea EHS staff to leverage best practices.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Measure progress toward successfully meeting management expectations.
  • Manage function-related costs across site.
  • Responsible for integration of EHS function with site operations.
  • Work with management to promote sound EHS culture.
  • Responsible for overall EHS training.
  • Overall responsible for implementation, development and maintenance of EHS frameworks.
  • Ensure EHS activity plan, metrics and KPI’s are implemented and followed up.
  • Advise management team of relevant EHS legislative/regulatory/company/industry requirements and changes.
  • Promote & monitor implementation of EHS programs on site, in accordance with GE requirements, EHS plan and established goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for verification activities such as EHS audits and workplace EHS inspections.
  • Promote and ensure compliance to company and regulatory EHS requirements & expectations at all time.
  • Promote and ensure compliance to company and regulatory Quality management systems at all time.


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Strong EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as organization outside GE (i.e. regulatory agencies).
  • Established program management ability.
  • In-depth knowledge to Lithuania EHS regulations and relevant standards.


Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong Lithuanian language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Relevant experience from the oil & gas industry.
  • Relevant experience from a workshop and/or offshore working environment.
  • External and internal customer focus.
