Role Summary:


In this business-critical and exciting role, you will own a variety of Master Data related activities and drive outcomes for the SAP program for the Aircraft Engines business worldwide.

You will use the latest technology to develop data governance and management processes, working with the stakeholders worldwide on new and existing SAP implementations.



Essential Responsibilities:


Specifically, you will employ your comprehensive, in-depth understanding of SAP Master Data business rules and technology to ...

  • Design, plan and assist with the data migration and management process for SAP implementation for Production and Engineering stream
  • Develop and define data assessment, data clean up and the data migration strategy
  • Serve as a technical lead in data mappings, data validation, data loads and data cleansing activities.
  • Use SAP programs like LSMW/BDC/custom programs for loading data elements
  • Execute migration projects from Legacy to SAP ECC.
  • Use ETL and middleware tools for data management.
  • Work with relational databases, i.e. SQL Server, MS Access, or Oracle RDBMS
  • Participate in the data domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction.
  • Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap, design pattern, and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
  • Gather and analyze data and develops architectural requirements at project level.


    Generally, you will

  • Participate in the Data Governance Council.
  • Contribute to highly complex projects that require in-depth domain knowledge.
  • Participates in development data and data delivery platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses.
  • Researches and evaluates emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.
  • Effectively monitor and control costs in the organization
  • Provide architectural support across teams.
  • Make high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms.
  • Work on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business
  • Act as advisor and coach to junior team members
  • Leads teams of contractors to deliver complex technology solutions.
  • Communicate across direct organization and across the IT function in area of expertise.
  • Present to senior leaders (EB and SEB) in specific technical space and on cross-functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy.

    Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Information Technology).
  • Minimum of 3 additional years of experience using SAP ECC in a Data Architect role.



    Desired Characteristics:


  • Working knowledge of Master Data Management and cross functional implications for implementing an SAP ERP solution.
  • Thorough understanding of SAP Production and Engineering function and Master data set up.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams. Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Effective problem identification and solution skills.
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability.
  • Knowledge of SAP modules PP, PM, QM and MM and knowledge of data conversion for those modules
  • Knowledge SAP database schema and implications to data loading
  • SAP A&D implementation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL programming
  • Knowledge of ETL tools like BackOffice
