Role Summary:
The GE Healthcare Life Sciences Service Contract Sales Specialist will be responsible for presenting and selling service contracts; prospecting, qualifying and closing new business; delivering service revenues objectives (across Service, which offers portfolio PMS, non-contracts, O&U and solutions); and supporting Service Account Leaders and Product Service Sales Specialists on maximizing services sales opportunities – all primarily through remote contact.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Captures assigned service sales opportunities to achieve and exceed contract capture, revenue and annual pricing increases targets in assigned product line and/or customer accounts through remote contact.
  • Implements proactive call schedule to increase sales growth.
  • Generates proposals, prepares service contract quotations, and demonstrates services value to assigned customers.
  • Prioritizes selling time to build and maintain a balanced funnel of prospects to generate sales, achieves account penetration and drives capture rate.
  • Develops and maintains consultative sales relationships with all key-buying influences in each account. Utilizes installed base information, sales and service reports/databases, new leads and cold-calling efforts.
  • Tracks call outcomes and opportunities through designated tracking processes and/or customer relationship management tools.
  • Supports and partners with field sales and service personnel in their efforts to sell service value.
  • Follows up on targeted marketing campaigns and maximizes incremental revenue.
  • Ensures seamless teamwork with the Equipment Sales, Product Services Sales specialists, Service Account Leaders, Marketing, Commercial Operations and U/S, Devices Commercial leader to maximize all sales potential.
  • Ability to travel up to one week each sales quarter visiting customers face-to-face in a sales capacity or for customer visits and business meetings.


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Associates degree and a minimum of one year of sales experience required.
  • Selling and negotiation skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Service products and equipment modalities.
  • Language proficiency in English (depending on region).
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • 20-25% travel required.


      Desired Characteristics:

      • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in life sciences.
      • Greater than two years of sales experience.
      • Working experience within services industry.
      • High work standard and quality.
      • Effective problem solving.
      • Effective personal organization skills.
      • GE Healthcare policies and process knowledge.
      • Business and results oriented.
      • Ability to build and establish rapport with all levels and functions.
