Role Summary: The Non Destructive Test Quality Manager demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for an area or business segment. Has the experience or expertise to solve problems. Able to develop and execute objectives for self and others. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities: In addition you will :
Responsible for surveillance of NDE personnel certification program
Train NDT Level 1 and 2 inspectors
Provide NDE technical support to the shop for various methods
Implement NDE techniques and planning on the shop floor
Coordinate implementation of NDE MRB activities
Perform site assessments and leadership in outside agency audits
Maintain processes and equipment needed to support next generation manufacturing processes
Work closely with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering organizations meeting all business commitments
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality or Manufacturing
Eligibility Requirement travel up to 20% of the time
Desired Characteristics: Technical or Associates degree in NDE or minimum of 5 years of experience in various methods • NAS - 410 Level 3 certification in various methods • Documented NDE training and certification records
Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification or extensive quality experience
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science
Extensive NDE application skills with minimum of 10 years of experience
Strong teamwork skills or experience in a teaming environment
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
