Role Summary: Provide technical leadership for maintaining engine and related components on each engine product line. Interface with the manufacturer, customer, and all internal organizations to resolve engine/component discrepancies in a timely manner.
In addition you will :
Provide technical counsel to the shop in all phases of engine assembly, repair, and test to ensure requirements of the customer and the regulatory agencies are met
Establish and / or supplement technical requirements to the shop by review of manufacturer’s documents and release of internal documents
Conduct engine material reject reviews to ensure manual test intent has been satisfied
When required, obtain manual revisions to reflect needs
Continually review engine hardware condition to identify improvements in design, reliability, or methods for cost reduction
In conjunction with the engine service manager / customer, develop a technical workscope tailored for each engine situation
Provide necessary communication with the customer or representative to analyze and resolve technically related problems
Maintain an awareness of state-of-the-art equipment and methods to improve engine reliability while reducing engine repair and processing costs
Interface with Customer Service representative along with Customers
BS degree in technical discipline from an accredited university or college (Or High School Diploma / GED with minimum of 4 years of engineering experience)
Minimum of 3 years of experience as Propulsion Engineer on turbine engine, overhaul repair and operations
BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aviation focus) from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of experience as Propulsion Engineer on turbine engine, overhaul repair and operations
Extensive background in turbine engine overhaul, repair, and operation with detailed knowledge of support tooling, equipment, and operational techniques
Good communication skills
Computer skills and knowledge
