Role Summary:
Cost Estimation of Balance of Plant equipment / Generators in-line with customer requirements

Essential Responsibilities:
• Costing of hydro products with the detailed study of drawings, documents, specifications, etc.
• Coordinate with Sourcing for the rates of material and other bought out items.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing for timely inputs for costing.
• Regular of commercial aspects related to cost estimation.
• Co-ordinate with Finance for regular inputs on finance matters for Cost Estimation department.
• Define cost effective industrial / sourcing scheme.
• Challenge other departments/groups within departments for overall optimization of the cost.
• Preparation of Cost & Price for assigned project before due date or targeted date.
• Prepare and maintain the database for costing.
• Coordinate with Sales/Other GE units for cost/price interfaces/offers.
• Support improvement actions within the team.
• Develop and motivate other team members for overall improvement.

2. Reduction in Rework time.
3. Accuracy of costing
4. Individual productivity

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Desired Characteristics:
Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to work independently. Strong problem solving skills.
• 5 to 10 years of Experience of Cost Estimation in the Heavy Manufacturing Industry (Mechanical / Electrical).
• Experience in cost estimation for local manufacturing, exports, imports, logistics, etc.
• Knowledge on Hydropower Components is added advantage.
• User level knowledge of SAP (Systems, Application & Products) system for Sales & Distribution Module will be an added advantage.
