Role Summary: The Technical Project Manager will lead projects aimed at transforming PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) processes, tools & IT solutions across Subsea Systems. The role consults with and advises functional process owners and takes responsibility for project assignments and ongoing support. As a PLM subject matter expert the role provides technical leadership and business process expertise for the planning, coordination, design, development, deployment and on-going support of the PLM System.
Essential Responsibilities: The Staff Technical Project Manager will lead & deliver assigned PLM projects, managing a team of resources from different functions at varying levels of seniority and influence, comprising product and business process ‘Subject Matter Experts’ and end users; and PLM process analysts/architects and solution architects. He/She will:
Demonstrate leadership in owning, championing and executing improvements to PLM processes & IT solutions with a focus on simplification, standardization and re-use; as well as communicating business goals & road map.
Serve as a business & systems analyst lead, identifying resources for participation on projects, feasibility studies, and business or technical solution evaluations.
Coordinate the discovery process to capture and understand a business unit’s existing processes, systems, data integrity, infrastructure, cultural preparedness, skill sets and resource availability for the purpose of defining the scope, plan, costs and benefits of an implementation.
Utilize their own experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to affect both short and long term business goals.
Provide consultation, instruction and coaching of business and project resources relative to leveraging best practices and applications solutions as well as the use of common business processes, systems, procedures and underlying technologies
Lead in identification of business requirements, re-engineering of current processes and translation of requirements into specific technical specifications.
Lead the design, documentation, implementation and continuous improvement of Subsea PLM's functional processes and systems as well as solution integrations with one or more of the following system/solutions across the company: ERP, Planning, Document Management, Customer and Supplier Collaboration and Manufacturing Execution.
Be accountable for testing activities including functional, integration, performance and user acceptance to ensure quality products and services.
Lead efforts to identify necessary resources are in place and the business objectives are widely communicated and clearly understood by all involved. Create and administer implementation plans for all standardized policy, process and system changes which are implemented.
Support the organisational change management process required by the new PLM & Systems Engineering best practices being introduced,
Develop the business case and metrics for the particular project.
Work with functional & business leaders and teams to uncover and assess Lean Six Sigma opportunities within Digital Engineering solutions.
Work closely with the System Operations Support Team to ensure Level 2 application support activities for relevant PLM applications are delivered. Ensure response to escalated issues/incidents and utilize all available resources to resolve them in accordance with the published Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Proactively monitor the help desk system and service ticket aging reports. Provide support to employees’ questions and issues regarding standardized policies, processes and systems in the Subsea PLM system.
Collaborate with the PLM Training, Communications and Super User team to develop effective training materials and delivery methods to ensure that all affected staff possess the knowledge and skills necessary to use and comply with Subsea PLM policies, processes and systems.
Lead and actively participate in conducting training courses on policy, process and systems for Subsea PLM applications. Participate in designing training curriculum and syllabus.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), or Computer Science from an accredited college or university or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Significant experience in product engineering working with processes and systems.
Demonstrated experience in the implementation, configuration, testing, administration and use of Siemens Teamcenter applications (or other PLM solutions such as Windchill, Enovia etc...).
Knowledge of how various enterprise IT applications (such as ERP, MES/CAM, Planning, Costing, Customer and Supplier collaboration tools) work and how they interact with PLM/CAD and other Engineering tools/systems.
Experience in implementation, configuration, testing, and administration of PLM system integrations with one or more of the following enterprise IT applications: ERP, MES, Planning, Costing, Customer and Supplier collaboration, and Document Management.
Experience with Enterprise IT project management techniques and practices including planning / scheduling, resource management, budgeting, analysis, and reporting.
Evidence of managerial competencies including leadership, team-building, self-confidence, results orientation, interpersonal astuteness, and communications.
Knowledge and understanding of business relationship management, system analysis, governance, and software development life-cycle
Excellent written and verbal (English) communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate technology concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, especially explaining complex concepts through presentations and other visual demonstrators.
Ability to work in cross functional team environment
Demonstrated work experience and stakeholder management in Matrix Organizations
Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations.
Must be a critical thinker with excellent analytical & problem solving skills, able to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, work well in a demanding dynamic environment and meet overall objectives.
Good team player and demonstrable ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary and virtual teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals.
High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.

Ability to travel up to 25% of time.
Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
Change agent experience with ability to develop strong credibility and influence in the organization.
Must possess strong proficiency in MS-Office packages.
