Role Summary:
In this role you will lead the project execution of all GE Mining projects (GE Mining- single P&L or GE Mining Solutions -cross P&L/ GE Store). You will direct and oversee the responsibilities of 2-3 in-country Regional Project Managers assigned to specific contracts and a regional GE Mining fulfillment teams. You will also own the creation and the implementation of all related PMO processes and tools together with selected cross-functional teams.

Essential Responsibilities:
In addition, you will:
  • Create and the implement PMO related processes, procedures, policies and tools with selected cross-functional teams
  • Manage all project activities from engineering to final acceptance and including fabrication, installation, commissioning in a multi-disciplinary, multi-project environment between and with all internal departments, clients and other project stakeholders
  • Assure on time delivery to defined specification with best in class fulfillment / quality
  • Maintain ongoing and effective client liaison and coordination
  • Lead and coordinate all internal project related activities involving Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Commissioning, Accounting, and Service
  • Evaluate financial/schedule impact of customer requested scope changes
  • Anticipate and act to match with contractual or regulatory requirements
  • Implement and bring rigor into Projects Schedule Control
  • Project Budget Control, including revenue forecasting and cash flow management and reporting
  • Travel to sites for meeting with clients and design review and project negotiations
  • Maintain and report monthly “Lessons Learned” and establish continuous learning & improvement culture

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Project Management, preferably EPC / EPCM
    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Willingness to travel to project sites worldwide

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Knowledge and experience with mining clients and projects is a definite plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exhibits the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders at various levels
  • Experience with contracts, change orders and R&O management
  • Detail oriented, commitment to deliver results and good problem solving skills
  • Proficient with PC office software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc. and working experience with Microsoft Project, Oracle, Primavera and SAP
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on tight timelines
  • Technical knowledge and significant experience in project management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to influence and effectively collaborate with Customers and Partners
  • Demonstrates creativity and problem solving capability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Fluent in English. Spanish and other languages considered a plus.
