Role Summary:
Reporting into the Indirect Sourcing Analytics Leader this position will provide Analytics solutions to assigned Indirect Categories & assist with the continued development of the Sourcing Analytics Portal.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Category Sourcing teams to identify data and analytics needs
  • Developing plans and timelines to extract large amounts of source data from vertical and external systems
  • Mapping of data to global standards
    o Implementing solutions into Sourcing Analytics platform
  • Training and Communication of Portal enhancements to stakeholders
  • Leverage existing tools to develop detailed opportunity assessments within defined category, sub-categories, regions, and businesses
  • Monitor, track, report, and improve compliance to Preferred Suppliers (PSL) and Contracts (OCDB)
  • Develop reporting solutions that help highlight and drive reductions in demand/usage within assigned Categories
  • Develop robust category reporting capability on spend and process leakage for defined commodities and sub-commodities
  • Monitor and report on pre-defined KPI’s within the Category
  • Become expert on Analytics tools (Spotfire, Zycus, PSL, OCDB, Sourcing Intelligence)
  • Partner with the Data Governance team to improve data quality and close spend gaps within Categories
  • Partner with IT team to continually develop Spend Analytics capabilities
  • Work with other members of the team to close action items and ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Ability to develop adhoc Analytic solutions using large sets of data in common tools like Excel and Access


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience within Strategic Sourcing or Procurement; with demonstrated abilities using data to drive decision making

  • Familiarity with Sourcing Strategies and concepts, particularly within the Indirect area
  • Strong Data and Analytics capabilities
  • Experience working with large data sets to generate actionable analytics
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Experience designing and building dashboards and visual solutions in BI Platforms a plus
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Self-starter who proactively acts and recommends process and technology improvement opportunities
  • Ability to take thoughts and ideas from conception through implementation, ensuring that the end result drives maximum value to the Sourcing teams
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of management
  • Ability to travel periodically (<10%)
  • Ability to write Macro’s to automate processes
  • Some familiarity with SQL databases and language
  • Experience working with TIBCO Spotfire or Tableau
