Role Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the "Manager, Global Event Marketing" is a key member of the Current Marketing Leadership Team. This strategic marketer with a passion for planning, producing and executing in-person client-focused experiences and events, and managing key sponsorships that will drive business growth. They will continually analyze the overall effectiveness of tactics to ensure we are maximizing marketing ROI & generating sufficient leads & pipeline for sales.
Essential Responsibilities:
In addition you will :
Develop the global Current, powered by GE annual event strategy and project plan focused on driving demand generation, new business growth (new customers and upsell) customer education on our products, services and solutions, industry thought leadership, and brand equity
Develops a clear vision of the business and strategy in close interaction with fellow marketing leadership, product marketing, commercial sales, and Current business management
Manage event and sponsorship budget and expand event budget by developing an event co-sponsorship program for Current partners and administer such program
Serve as primary POC and project management leader for all events and sponsorships before, during and for post-event activities
Project activities include, but are not limited to, coordination of all content, technical demo's, presentations, speaker prep, invites, event themes, event agendas, stage and booth production resources, customer hospitality, customer invitation and registration management, etc.
Responsible for developing broad variety of events - employee, customer and partner customer events, large third party sponsorships, partner events, proprietary events, as well as small regional roundtable programs
Drive the development, execution and inclusion of brand stories, technology assets, demos, customer presentations and testimonials, and technology solution "proof points" through all event elements, providing a strong presentation of the Current value proposition
Coordinate with other business teams to drive timely development and delivery of such key messaging, stories, speakers, assets, demos, etc.
Lead and coordinate events and sponsorships globally with a key focus on customer acquisition, business growth, marketing education and enhancing understanding and awareness of brand and Current solutions
Lead event production in coordination with cross functional resources across select branded, industry and partner events
Interface with business leadership, communications, product management and sales functions to ensure coordinated messaging
Partner with agencies on event and sponsorship management. Activities include strategic planning, shipping coordination, and installation, dismantlement of shows, material storage and maintenance
Establish KPIs and ROI metrics to demonstrate impact of events and sponsorships on generate information leads, converting deals, customer acquisition, education, awareness, etc.
Own the global calendar of events, ensuring plans are optimized across all markets to achieve business plan goals
Drive brand equity & sales enablement through event and sponsorship experience, content and promotion
Collaborate with key stakeholders
Identify and manage all agency partnerships including budgets
Evaluate sponsorship strategy and develop plans to maximize ROI and contribution to business growth
Actively develop feedback mechanisms to improve and enhance the event and sponsorship performance from customer's experience POV
Evaluate and execute strategies & tactics to improve event marketing ROI
Stay up to date on latest event and sponsorship marketing trends and technologies
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 7 years of work experience in event marketing management role
3 years of work experience in energy or software ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :
Willingness and ability to travel as needed up to 50 % of time (for events, sponsorships, planning and prep purposes)
Capability to manage both small "forum" events and large scale events of 500+ participants
Desired Characteristics:
Experience in executive communication, run of show stage and media production, logistical management, event coordination & presentation in front of both small and large crowds
Demonstrated experience building & deploying industry focused and branded event marketing programs
