Role Summary: The Build Engineer is part of the global system scrum team responsible for in depth understanding of GE HealthCloud infrastructure (process and tools) needs and work closely with Predix and GE Healthcare Operations team to define and implement infrastructure solutions. This is a key technical role that will be at the center of defining and supporting next generation software development and deployment capabilities for GE Healthcare.
Essential Responsibilities: The Build Engineer will have the opportunity to work globally across US, EUROPE and ASIA poles with both system team as well as GE Healthcare business partners. Amongst other things the ideal candidate would possess experience in Continuous Integration environment, both in creation of workflows and management of virtual resources. Experience in Design and implementation of Continuous Testing environments supporting TDD and BDD for code, build-time and Auto-Deployment solutions.
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Electronics and Communication/ Information Technology Engineering or any other related computer field or equivalent
• Strong experience in legacy and virtual infrastructure support
• Experience in supporting SCM (Perforce, SVN, Git) across multiple project teams
• Hand-on experience in design/implementation/support of cloud and virtual infrastructures
• Familiarity with software development technology (.net, Java, C++, JScript, Web development)
