Role Summary:
GE seeks a strong AP Analyst candidate to drive functional support for IT Payable Process across multiple SAP ERPs. The Analyst would be responsible for the day to day support and associated project work for all aspects of Payable ERP footprint and associated 3rd party bolt-on applications (like IBS, TRS/EPIQ, Webcash, TPS, Markview/Perceptive etc) with SAP FICO Functional FICO. The Analyst is expected to leverage prior knowledge and experience and also be hands on.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Hands on Experience in ABAP as FICO Functional in Financials, Sourcing modules and technologies viz. Interactive reporting, iDocs, proxies, BADIs, workflow etc.
  • Experience in 1 full cycle complex SAP MM & FICO/SRM Implementation, 2 support or upgrade projects
  • Strong SAP FICO Skills in the areas of Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable.
  • Well versed with SAP configuration, design and implementation, Support production configuration and take care of functional change requests
  • Support GE’s AP process and platform (APEX) from a daily operations perspective, providing functional support of the environment, managing issues and implementing changes.
  • Proactively seeks continuous improvement in the area of SAP functional application capabilities to enhance process efficiency and user experiences.
  • Interface/CO-ordinate with functional leadership, key stakeholders, and Corporate teams working as a business partner to evaluate, simplify, and improve business processes.
  • Exposure to SAP lifecycle management tool such as Solution Manager
  • Support APEX (AP Extension) platform both from a daily operation and a project perspective, providing functional support of the environment, managing issues, implementing changes, liaising with Finance team on new requirements.
  • Develop functional, technical specifications as per AIM documentation.
  • Maintain environment configuration and access control, drive consistency of infrastructure across the environment
  • Maintain and apply current knowledge of information technology; keep abreast of new and emerging technologies and help determine if / how they can be used to add value to the business

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent degree
  • 4+ years of experience with financial systems, sourcing applications and building integrations with SAP Accounts Payable and SAP Material Management
  • Strong ABAP Programming skills, Web methods, SAP PI experience
  • Configuration knowledge in SAP MM & FI functions.
  • Experience in 1 full cycle complex SAP MM & FICO/SRM Implementation, 2 support or upgrade projects

Desired Characteristics:
Experience working with SAP and cross-business teams
Good knowledge on Sourcing and Finance Application
Should have configuration experience in Purchasing, Inventory Management and Logistics Invoice Verification Module
Strong leadership & organizational skills with proven ability to partner closely with finance team to drive ongoing improvements
Strong Problem Solving skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Process oriented, results, quality and cost driven
Experience working in a global environment with offshore support teams
Ability & desire to remain current with technologies as well as their application in the business function
Green Belt certification will be added advantage
Understands, promotes and adheres to IT security/SOD and SoX compliance policies and processes
